A Review on Community Detection Approach for Recommender Systems

In the last few years, Recommender systems have become extremely popular for users to extract relevant information. The applicability of recommender systems is in several domains, including e-commerce sites, social media platforms and several others. The Community detection approaches aim to detect the collective users that have similar behavior, interest, and choice. Community detection technique helps in creating a new dimension for recommender systems. This paper presents a thorough review of the Community detection approaches for recommender systems. The challenges and research directions are also discussed in the later part of the paper.
