Mutual user Authentication using Inherent Techniques for Cloud and Fog Computing
Inas Ismael Imran, Refed Adnan Jaleel · 2023
Fog computing is a current computing paradigm that extends cloud computing to the network's edge. This expansion has become essential due to the widespread adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and the need for real-time data processing. However, despite its benefits, fog computing is still faced with significant security challenges. Therefore, a mutual authentication mechanism is required to establish a secure communication between fog users and server. This paper proposes a mutual authentication method that uses ID covered TMAT and hash functions for cloud and fog computing. This method ensures efficient and safe mutual authentication between fog users and server, preventing unauthorized access and data breaches.
