The significance of include AI algorithms in a data science syllabus is discussed in the article. In order to analyses the historical evolution of AI and putting into context the merits of AI to computing, the methodology is used to explore the progression from personal computers to processor performance. The last section of the article explores value investing of an engaging and impactful undergraduate AI course.
