Design of a Machine learning-based Face and Fingerprint Recognition for Automated Teller Machines

This paper presents an implementation of machine learning-based face and fingerprint recognition on the NVIDIA Jetson Nano development kit as an authentication tool in automated teller machines (ATMs). We use face_recognition and Adafruit python libraries to implement face and fingerprint recognition, respectively. A USB web-based camera is connected to Jetson Nano to take real-time video. The fingerprint sensor is connected with Jetson Nano using a general-purpose input-output (GPIO) universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) interface. The developed system is tested in the lab and the college's annual project competition shows more than 90% accuracy.
