ANEXPOSITIONANALYSIS OF FACIAL EXPRESSION RECOGNITION TECHNIQUES

This studycompared the technique such as Gabor-wavelet filter banks and LocalBinary Patterns (LBP) that were commonly used for facial expression recognition.Broad experimentalphases were designed to analyze the accuracy and efficiency of each state of art techniques regardingfacial expression recognition. A close analysis of the Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) andoverall accuracy of the results for well-known facial databasesrevealedthat the LBPbased extraction offacial expression features was the most efficient and effective technique.
