2023

Message from the 2023 FCCM General and Program ChairsWelcome to Los Angeles, for the 31st IEEE International Symposium on Field-Programmable Custom Computing Machines (FCCM 2023).FCCM is the original and premier forum for presenting and discussing new research related to reconfigurable computing.Over the past 30 years, FCCM has been the place to present papers on architectures, tools, and programming models for field-programmable custom computing machines, as well as applications that use them. This conference brings together academic, industrial, and government researchers to present state-of-the-art technology, how it is being used, and where it is headed. The FCCM 2023 technical program features advances in architecture, tools, CAD, machine learning, and many exotic application domains. We received 70 total submissions in a challenging year as the receding pandemic continued to make its impact felt across the world. The review used a double-blind process that included clarifying questions and author responses to preliminary reviews. The technical program committee selected 15 full papers and 5 short papers for an overall acceptance rate of 28% (up from 21% last year). In addition to these papers, the overall program also includes 26 posters, two keynote talks, one panel, 9 workshops and tutorials, a PhD forum, 11 demos, and industry booths. This year, we also permitted four submissions to present their content remotely due to unavoidable issues that prevented conference travel.
