Research on Road Marking Extraction Method Based on Machine Learning

Road traffic markings can achieve traffic separation, channel traffic at level crossings, indicate and predict the road conditions ahead, and are the basis for traffic managers and citizens to abide by the law. Effective automatic extraction of road markings can help traffic achieve efficient operation. The article uses edge extraction operators, threshold segmentation, K-means clustering, and region growth methods to extract road markings, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the extraction methods, and provides technical guidance for the implementation of automatic road marking extraction.
