Lung Carcinoma Diagnosis and Classification using Deep Learning

The proposed work implements the modified Inception Recurrent RCNN algorithm for Lung Carcinoma detection using segmentation and deep learning with a lesser number of epochs. Histopathological Images of the Lung Carcinoma dataset were used for training, testing, and validation. The model’s performance was tested under two conditions, first with a reduced number of input images and second with a reduced number of iterations to reduce the processing time for image diagnosis without compromising Accuracy and Precision. High performance is achieved with Inception Recurrent RCNN when applied to lung carcinoma classification against object classification and breast cancer classification.
