IoT and wireless communications are the current top technologies used worldwide which can be applied to solve any issue. IoT is not complete without Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which establish connection between the outside world and computational infrastructures. The information that WSNs supply, such as data on environmental fluctuations and operating conditions, is used for recurring IoT monitoring. Due to the fact that energy is an ambient parameter in the design process of WSNs. Updates in the IoT sector prompted the use of Energy Saving Techniques in WSNs. The process of moving data between nodes consumes energy. In recent years, various methods for effective wireless sensor networks have been implemented. An Improved version of the SEP and LEACH Protocol, in order to increase network communication, this work essentially categorizes the collection of sensitive nodes into three classes—Normal nodes with least energy, Intermediate nodes with extra energy factor than regular, and Advanced nodes with high energy supply. Through the selection of Cluster Heads (CH), with Threshold Energy acting as a conditional parameter to elect a node, data is transported across the nodes. The simulation's output demonstrates how well the SEP protocol is outperformed in terms of Reliability, Energy consumption, network longevity, and throughput.
