Edge Computing Service Framework for IT/OT Converged Networks for Cyber-Resiliency: Machine Learning-Assisted SDN
Tusi Peng · 2023
As the number of IoT devices increases, a resilient management mechanism that consolidates the IT/OT integration architecture becomes increasingly important. In the past, research on IoT resilience focused on detecting and recovering from cybersecurity attacks. In this study, an edge computing framework is proposed to detect anomalies in IoT end-to-end service architectures by an ML-assisted examination framework, including the operation of IoT devices and networks in the OT and the operation of Internet connections. A mechanism for recovering from operational anomalies is also suggested including packet control with SDN, switching routes, and to notify IT system managers of operational issues through an API design framework.
