How long does a smartphone take to recharge its battery?

During recharging, certain brands of smartphones inform on how long it still takes to reach complete charge. Based on this information, it is shown here how to reconstruct a possible charge-versus-time function. It is also shown how a fixed point affects the computation of best-fit polynomial curves. The results are illustrated in graphs.
