PCBIR-CV: A privacy-preserved content-based image retrieval using combined visual descriptors for cloud

Privacy-preserved retrieval of images based on the contents is a challenging task in encrypted domain. We introduce a prototype that implements a privacy-preserved content-based image retrieval for cloud using combined descriptors. The prototype ensures high retrieval performance compared with state-of-the-art schemes using standard image dataset. The prototype provides an experimental model that can be utilized for developing and validating newer schemes in the area. Moreover, this prototype can be migrated to real-world applications that mandate secure retrieval of encrypted images outsourced on cloud servers.
