Performance Analysis of Gated Service Polling System Based on Two-level Priority

Xin Li, Liyong Bao, Hongwei Ding, Xinyu Ding · 2023

An access control strategy based on two-level priority gated polling scheduling is proposed to meet the need of priority differentiating sites in mobile communication networks. The control policy optimizes the traditional polling service sequence, divides sites into common sites and priority sites, and provides services for sites with different priorities in turn by using gated services. In this paper, a mathematical model of the system is constructed by using the idea of probability theory and queuing theory, and mathematical tools such as system state equation and probability generating function are used to accurately analyze the average queue leader, average cycle and throughput of each station, and the rationality and validity of the theoretical analysis are verified by simulation experiments. Simulation results show that the access control policy based on two-level priority gated polling scheduling can distinguish sites with different priorities, provide real-time services for high-priority services, and improve the overall system performance.
