Varsha D. Jadhav, Dhananjay R. Dolas · Research Square · 2023

Abstract Twitter is an online social network where people share and read the messages called as tweets. Twitter dropped the 140-character limit for private messages within its network. The new limit is 280 characters or Unicode glyphs. People share thoughts in their minds on twitter. Thoughts can be new stories, ideas, and their views about any popular events such as election poll, sports, movies, breaking news etc. Tweets can be used to predict the results of the events by finding the polarity intentions. Intention can be positive, negative or neutral. The paper aims to provide a subjectivity ratio method to obtain the polarity intention. It presents the algorithm for the subjectivity ratio method and its analysis, which shows that the subjectivity ratio method works faster for large data.
