VM Migration and Resource Management using Meta Heuristic Technique in Cloud Computing Services

An increasingly important component in the development of Cloud Computing, an Internet-based technology, is the optimization of its resources. To make the most of available resources, cloud data centre models need a resource management strategy. The Bin-Packing issue is a combinatorial optimization that may be used to efficiently assign virtual machines to physical machines. In this study, we present a two-stage approach for managing and allocating resources effectively. In the first step, we propose the Load Balanced Multi-Dimensional Bin-Packing (LBMBP) heuristics for allocating virtual machines (VMs) to physical machines (PMs or hosts) by taking into account all of the available resources at their disposal. As indicated in the second stage, a technique to identify overload and load balance hosts based on anomalies is necessary for VM migration. CloudSim Plus Simulator simulation results were used to demonstrate the planned work, and it was found that the number of operational PMs was reduced. Reduced energy use and emigration rates due to more efficient use of available resources.
