IoT-enabled intelligent vehicles are increasing on the roadside traffic network. The demand for secure, effective, and privacy of data, including driving conditions, is the primary motivation of the smart ITS for the Vehicular internet of things. We have introduced a communication structure for VIoTs, which provides a framework for the V2X (vehicle to anything) communication. A gateway selection algorithm performs communication between vehicles and infrastructure [ 30 ] on LTE/5 G-based cellular networks. Gateway selection-based cellular network is making power to the roadside unit, and the cellular network is working as a roadside unit. They have high computation power by which operations are effectively performed by encryption/decryption, group management, etc. A review of various studies summarizes various characteristics and challenges in the IoT environment and VANETs, and these help us design the VIoT structure.
