As educational organizations started to handle COVID-19 issues, e-learning/online education emerged as one of the safest options for the world. There is a lack of security and privacy while attending virtual learning. This paper focused on types of vulnerabilities and how to overcome them by introducing Virtual Private Networks (VPN). We proposed a framework to be used during virtual learning. The framework will mainly work as a security tool that will disable access to all unrelated websites, social media, or online games. Students and lecturers can focus more on online classes without any disturbance. The proposed scheme is validated through a survey question. At the same time, using VPN can redesign the current online education system to be more systematic. Using a VPN for increased protection should be a regular practice, especially when attending online classes using communication technology. The results showed that almost 91.2% agreed to use a VPN during online education. Therefore, the proposed scheme is acceptable and needs to implement throughout all virtual learning institutes
