Random acoustic noise

Abstract We introduce the concept of acoustic white noise (AWN) and then we get colored noiseas random sequences generated by dynamic systems (DS) with AWN input. Although DS isvirtual, the noise it generates can mimic real noise. Determining a system that generates agiven noise from white noise is called identification. We solve the task of identification bothfor noise-generating systems and for transmission channels. We also provide estimates for thecapacity of such channels using information theory concepts.
