IP network multicast technology effectively solves the problems of unicast and broadcast in point-to-multipoint applications, saves network bandwidth and reduces network load, and is widely used in multimedia conferences, video-ondemand, and IPTV fields. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of unicast, broadcast and multicast, introduces the basic architecture, service model and IP address mapping relationship of multicast, summarizes the operation mechanism of group membership management, compares and analyzes the working modes of the two multicast routing protocols, and finally Based on eNSP, the enterprise network multicast video stream is simulated and realized, which provides a good reference for the research and application of multicast technology.
