Throughout many nations, and communities, body mass index (BMI), the ratio of height to weight reported in kilograms per square meter (kgs/m2), is used to diagnose the overweight and obesity condition of a human being. The relationship between height and weight is apparent. BMI is not a diagnostic tool but merely an approximation for identifying potential weight issues. If someone has a high BMI, they are in significant danger. These metrics allow doctors to suggest various weight-related health risks. For instance, skin-fold measures, a person’s level of fitness, a nutriti onist’s recommendation for food, and other health screenings. The aim of the article is to create an Internet of Things (IoT) based hybrid fitness monitoring system calculating the BMI of a particular person. The system is adapted to calculate the Body Mass Index (BMI) of a user which showed a result of nearly 99.35 %. It assists the user in knowing whether the user is overweight, underweight, healthy, or obese. Further, the system can also identify the face of the user and uses the identified face as an authentication mechanism to check the past information of the user. The system also dis plays the calculated BMI and the past information of the user on a display unit. Further, the system is configured to store the calculated BMI in a database.
