Smart bands offer a convenient way of monitoring physical activity and gaining valuable insights into an individual’s health and lifestyle. This information is shared with healthcare providers to make informed decisions about treatment plans, thus making it a popular wearable technology. Despite the data generated by the smart band and suggested solutions, implementing the required actions is challenging because making healthier choices is difficult for the user. This paper proposes a smart band that takes corrective actions on behalf of the user to make healthier food choices. The main feature of the designed Smart band is updating a shopping list based on the user’s burnt calorie count. This way, the user would be bound to follow the suggestions. The band also features a weekly report system. It directly sends the weekly reports of the user’s vitals to a pre-decided recipient without the user’s intervention. The recipient can further use this to change prescriptions, diet plans or workout plans if required. If the decided parameters pass the threshold, the smart band sends mail to pre-decided recipients. The smart band also sends location coordinates via message if it is required. Another feature of the band is the reduction in the use of sensors. The band uses inbuilt sensors present in smart phones instead of having its sensors. The overall approach is to reduce human intervention and increase device-to-device communication.
