DSM Test Equating
Dimiter M. Dimitrov · 2023
Test equating is necessary to ensure fairness and validity of the comparison of test scores obtained by groups of examinees on different test forms (e.g., in large-scale assessments). This chapter describes test equating procedures in the classical and latent versions of the D -scoring method of measurement (DSM) under the nonequivalent groups with anchor tests (NEAT) design. Described are procedures for (a) rescaling of item parameters in DSM and (b) equating of D -scores based on rescaled item parameters.
