Healthcare systems store huge amounts of data of the patients. Usually, these data are stored in a normal server and are monitored. Here, the data refers to the personal information of the patients. Information such as blood group, disease infected, diagnosis provided, treatment or cure given to the patients. This information is very sensitive and needs to be protected to maintain the privacy of the patients. Besides protection, this data should also be stored for a long period of time so that it will be very helpful for future treatments. The use of servers did not guarantee the security of data. It is easily prone to identity thefts, spamming and financial data crimes. There are many cases where the data was exposed and most of the important information was stolen. Securing the medical data is quite challenging in healthcare systems and this can be overcome using permissioned blockchain. The main aim is tonot only secure the data but also to provide timely access to data when it is urgently required. A permissioned blockchain uses a cipher text that is based on Attribute Based Encryption (ABE). It is a public-key cryptographic encryption technique that provides secure data sharing among multiple users and achieves privacy and access control. For storing the data, DriveHQ is used. It is a cloud IT service provider and is one of the largest FTP server hosting service providers.
