Optimal Cluster head selection-based Hybrid Moth Search Algorithm with Tree Seed algorithm for multipath routing in WSN

S. Venkatasubramanian · 2023

WSNs have a number of issues, the most pressing of which is lowering their energy consumption and increasing their network lifetime (WSNs). The most actual approach for decreasing WSN energy usage is high-quality clustering. High-quality clustering may be achieved by taking into account a wide range of criteria that can be used to evaluate the clusters. Finding effective channels of communication between nodes in a WSN is a major goal of routing research. This research suggests an optimization-based multipath routing technique. There are two main phases to the proposed routing algorithm: cluster head (CH) selection using the Hybrid Moth Search algorithm that merges Moth Search with the Differential Evolution method. The Tree-seed technique is then used to set up the multipath routing (TSA). The suggested model’s fitness function is developed taking into account a wide range of characteristics, including estimated outstanding energy, distance to other nodes, and mobility speed. The projected work is simulated in a number of various WSN configurations, and the results are compared using a number of different methodologies. The findings show that the proposed modelrouting achieves improved presentation, with values of 95.43 percent for the packet delivery ratio, 263 for the throughput, and 120 seconds for the Stability time of CHs.
