Distinctions and confusion between simple sentences and complex sentences

The boundary between simple sentences and complex sentences has been a puzzling phenomenon for a long time, although great efforts have been spared to look for a criterion to differentiate them clearly. This chapter aims at describing and explaining the distinctions and confusion between simple sentences and complex sentences, and presents the author’s reflections on complex sentences.
