The relationships indicated by some markers are attached to non-corresponding types of complex sentences, hence type-crossover markers. This chapter is devoted to the following six type-crossover markers: i) “yī … jiù … (一 … … 就 … …)” (‘once … then …’); ii) “wànyī … (jiù/yě) … (万一 … … （就/也） … …)” (‘in case … then …’); iii) “… yúshì … (… … 于是 … …)” (‘… then …’); iv) “… cóng’ér … (… … 从而 … …)” (‘… thus …’); v) “… jiù/yòu/cái/yě/hái … (… … 就/又/才/也/还 … …)” (‘… then/again/also/still …’); vi) “… ér … (… … 而 … …)” (‘… but …’) and “… nàme … (… … 那么 … …)” (‘… then …’).
