Analog interface and amplifier circuits

Sudhanshu Maheshwari · 2023

This chapter is devoted to the study of various simple circuits designed using current conveyors and different variants. The simple interfacing requirements for analog signal processing are covered in the form of circuits, which are mainly needed in analog front ends and for matching impedance requirements. The simple amplifier designs are presented using current-mode techniques. The instrumentation amplifier and summing amplifiers are covered, which are designed using second-generation current conveyors and differential voltage current conveyors. The tuning concept in amplifiers is further discussed using the example of the current controlled current conveyor. Most of the circuits presented in the chapter form the sub-blocks for the design of other analog circuits of higher complexity, which would be studied in subsequent chapters.
