A Variational Principle Application to the Nonlinear Complementarity Problem

We state a variational priticiple for a locally conpact convex cone K by means of the concept of a K-uniformly gublinear mapping. Then, we apply this principle to the nonlinear conplenentarity problem K.C.P P ( Y, K ), where T is the difference of two nonlinear operatore, subject to suitable assunptions. Our results sre originated fron the theory of the buckling problen of a thin elastic plate subjected to unilateral conditions.
