Surface Alteration and Morphological Characterization of Pottery Specimen from a Northern Italian Iron Age Site

146 pottery specimens from Pozzuolo, a Northern Italian Iron Age site, have been studied by means of optical devices to establish possible differences or similarities in the ceramic body. Four different clay mixtures have been identified. This suggests different levels of production technology. In the present paper special attention is given to surface structures and alterations of the ceramics.
