This paper describes a mobile phone-based system of image processing for automatically checking a student's bubble sheet paper using OMR sheet layout with high speed and precision. This mobile application is designed to aid teachers' workload for checking the exam and is a hassle-free mobile app that can be used anytime. Image processing, database, and user interface are the interconnected modules of the system. Python and the open CV library power the backend, while Android controls the frontend. The program was created using open-source technology, and there was no hardware necessary for the system to function. Using an image analysis technique that uses gradient extraction, the acquired image is processed, then transported, and the result is obtained using a mobile phone. Homography (ROI) surveyed the area of interest. Before data extraction begins, the background and foreground are corrected using image correction algorithms. Upon conducting the system analysis for its functionality, the researchers tested one hundred fifty-two sheets and obtained a total accuracy of 90.1% by checking the bubble sheets.
