Best Replicas Selection using A priori Algorithm in Data Grid

Ruaa Satar, Mahdi Salih · 2022

Data Grids are constructed in such a way that grid facilities can oversee the storage of original and duplicate data files from anywhere on the planet. The best replica from several geographically dispersed locations is chosen using quality-of-service characteristics, making replica selection in Data Grids a sophisticated process. Without taking into account the requesting users' network or hardware constraints, all replica selection algorithms seek the optimal replica for them to utilize. Replication is the primary strategy for improving distributed system performance metrics including access time, data transmission speed, and congestion caused by a high volume of requests. It's in your favor to choose the right reproductions. In this work, we describe a novel, highly successful approach to reducing transmission times between replicas (servers) by analyzing a wide range of metrics, such as CPU performance, Memory size, and bandwidth, and selecting the optimal replicas (servers) based on these metrics and others.
