Convolutional Neural Networks, TensorBoard and Further Reading

Stephen Lynch · 2023

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are covered in the first two sections. The reader is shown how convolution and pooling work in CNNs by means of a simple example. Next, a CNN is used to identify handwritten digits. In Section 3, the reader is introduced to TensorBoard, which is a tool providing performance tables for a Keras-TensorFlow program. The final section briefly discusses the topics Cyber Security, Ethics in AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Reinforcement Learning (RL). A number of references are listed for each topic.
