Internet intermediaries have become important players in the protection of copyrighted materials.This article analyzes the methods and legal bases used by these intermediaries for copyright protection.The article begins by discussing the legal framework for copyright protection, including international agreements and national legislation.It then goes on to explore the role of intermediaries in copyright protection and the legal bases for their actions.The article examines various approaches used by intermediaries, such as notice-and-takedown procedures, filtering technologies, and voluntary agreements with copyright holders.It also analyzes the challenges and criticisms of these approaches, including concerns about freedom of expression, privacy, and due process.Ultimately, the article argues that intermediaries play a crucial role in copyright protection and that a balanced approach is necessary to ensure that copyright is respected while also protecting fundamental rights and freedoms.
