Blockchain-IoT based device authentication protocol for Healthcare Multimedia
Shalini Dhar, Ashish Khare · 2023
This study employed a secure location-based de-centralized device to device (D2D) authentication model where IoT devices would authenticate mutually, utilizing a blockchain network. For this authentication, Elliptical Curve Cryptography features are integrated for secure data transmission. This ar-ticle considers Ethereum blockchain technology for IoT-device registration, their authentication process, data storage, and attestation. This model is utilized in the Healthcare system for transmitting video and image data. The performance of the pro-posed authentication IoT framework was evaluated concerning parameters such as throughput, response time, count of error data packets, and energy consumption rate compared with other fog-nodes and cloud servers. This analysis proved the better efficiency of the proposed framework.
