That several tenants can share physical resources with virtualization technologies while upholding a level of security and segregation that is not attainable with containerization alone. The preserved, straightforward introspection of virtual machine operation and content that is attained by virtualization facilitates further management and monitoring. These aspects offer an explanation—albeit a constricted one—for how virtualization made it possible for cloud services to develop off. Surprisingly, cloud platforms that have used virtualization technologies still have confidentiality and safety problems. As recently uncovered exploits demonstrate, even hardware virtualization’s defense and abandonment remain far from ideal and are unable to be prevented. In the interest of bringing virtualization technology to a cloud infrastructure, this paper aims to provide clarity on emerging virtualization technology and its development from those of a security standpoint.
