Most of the computer arithmetic applications are developed using digital circuits by using logic gates, which provides a high degree of reliability and precision. However most of the applications in multimedia and image processing can tolerate errors and imprecision in computation and still produce meaningful and useful results. In the arithmetic operations Multiplication can be thought as the repeated sum of partial products. However, for designing the approximate multipliers the straight forward application of approximate adders are not viable, because it becomes very inefficient in terms of precision, hardware complexity and other performance metrics. So that's why we are proposed the novel approximate 4:2 compressors. Here we have to be shown that these simplified compressors have better delay and power consumption than the optimized 4:2(exact) compressor designs. These approximate compressors provides a completely accurate simulation results at circuit-level for figures of merit, such as transistor count, delay, power dissipation, normalized error distance and error rate.To develop this application for logical verification we are using the ModelSim, and further synthesizing it Xilinx-ISE tool is used according to the target technology and performing placing & routing operation for system verification on targeted FPGA.
