Evaluation of image segmentation on various color spaces in view of image processing on mobile devices

Recent advances in imaging and mobile phone industries, smart phones can offer an attractive medium for delivering image-based services at a low cost with high memory and speed. Segmentation in image processing is the area concerned with the analysis and evaluation of the digital images based on the problem domain and relevant knowledge base. Image pre-processing and image post-processing are two important processes in digital image processing. In this paper relative analysis of existing clustering approaches (KM), (MKM), (EMKM) and proposed optimised algorithm is performed. Qualitative and quantitative analysis is done on the different evaluation parameters namely mean square error (MSE), mean absolute error (MAE) and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). After experimentation it observed that the proposed optimise algorithm is preferred method for image segmentation.
