Clustering Mechanism for Isolation of Black hole Attack in MANET
Atul Patial, Surinder Pal Kaur · 2022
Those networks which do not have the central controller among them, however, the access points are involved in them, called infrastructure-less networks. Such networks also termed as ad hoc networks. The malevolent mote can drop packets for their broadcasting along its path. Consequently, the overall performance of network is minimized. A trust-based method is projected to recognize the attack in the network via the black list node. Numerous nodes, which transmit other motes, are useful to quantify the trust value. This network allows malevolent motes to transmit only a little number of packets. The attacker mote focuses on selecting the node with the least trust value at first. A clustering technique is employed to remove such motes. Network Simulator 2 is considered in the simulations for the proposed technique. The analysis of performance is done concerning throughput, packet loss and delay. The simulation outcomes indicate that the projected technique provides superior outcomes in contrast to the existing methods.
