Image Denoising using Convolutional Neural Network

Image denoising is one of the fundamental aspects for removing noise from an image and enhancing its features containing visual information. Based on this, the Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) along with Autoencoders when applied with image denoising have been a hot topic of study, with a wide range of applications in fields as diverse as diagnostic image denoising and low-light image denoising. As compared to non-CNN image denoising approaches, a CNN based image denoising approach seems to be more noise-free. When applied on the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology (MNIST) dataset, this work presents a research and practical method to image denoising utilizing deep CNN algorithms.
