Over the previous five chapters, we demonstrated how to design a Hyperscale environment that satisfied a set of requirements and then deploy it using the Azure Portal. Although using the portal is a great way to learn about the various components of a Hyperscale database and how they fit together, it is strongly recommended to move to using infrastructure as code (IaC) to deploy your environments. In this chapter, we’ll look at using PowerShell and the Azure PowerShell modules to deploy the resources that make up the environment. We will deploy the same environment we have used in the previous five chapters, but instead, we’ll use only the Azure PowerShell module to create and configure the resources.
