Anazel P. Gamilla, Thelma Domingo Palaoag · 2022
The continuous growth in technology to institute a smart campus in Higher Education Institutions’ (HEIs) build their reputation as a target of mass exploitation, attracting various cyber threats and attacks. The urge to protect assets and support existing processes provides an opportunity to construct a foundation of a resilient network security infrastructure. The study sought to develop an improved Smart Campus Security Operations Center (SCSOC) framework for the sustainability and security of the network that supports its primary functions: establishing, mitigating, and implementing best practices for potential difficulties and threats, and providing additional barriers considering policies and standards on security of assets. The framework exhibits and delivers the standard functionality based on positive responses from security experts which is beneficial to building a fully functional smart campus.
