Increasing the Robustness of Reliability Demonstration Test Planning

Tobias Leopold · 2022

Reliability Demonstration Tests are supposedly easy to plan. However, assumptions about the failure characteristics of the product must often already be made in the planning of the failure-free tests. Faulty planning sometimes has a strong impact on the results of testing. The use of a robustness surcharge is intended to minimize the risk of erroneous trial results and therefore helps to reduce risks in releasing immature products with potential field issues.
