Big Data and Blockchain for Cybersecurity Applications: Challenges and Solutions

This chapter elucidates different concepts where big data and blockchain can be applied. The first section discusses the benefits and challenges related to big data, followed by challenges that arise due to big data&s;s uncertain nature. After overcoming the challenges, one way to completely leverage big data is to integrate it with business intelligence. Instead of obtaining a separate business intelligence system, many businesses can integrate big data with business intelligence. blockchain is another technology that can be combined with big data. Before going into depth about combining big data with blockchain, the applications of blockchain in Bitcoin and cybersecurity are discussed. Finally, integrating big data with blockchain is studied in five different concepts. They are using big data and blockchain in e-governance, health care, personal big data management, cryptocurrency, and blockchain in fog-enabled IoT devices.
