Analysis of Relay Link for Airborne Mobile Communication and Broadband Wireless Access

The technology of airborne mobile communication and broadband wireless access aims to enable passengers to communication by using their mobile phone or wireless Internet service, and obtain aircraft health data in real time to improve operation efficiency, and the relay link is the transmission channel between aircraft and ground. This paper introduces the characteristics, function and performance of satellite relay link and air to ground relay link, and gives some suggestions on using satellite relay link or air to ground relay link in China through analysis and comparison.
