Scaling Up a Cloud Microservices Simulator

Cloud services have recently shifted from single-tiered software applications to a complex collection of microservices. Microservices architectures allow applications to be scaled swiftly and easily, thus shortening the time it takes to market new features. However, there are some problems that need to be solved before this utility computing vision can be fully realised. The microservices architecture has several benefits, but as we scale up their often behaviour becomes quite unpredictable. To analyse and improve upon this problem, we aim to scale up MuSim, an open-source microservice simulator, drawing inspiration from DeathStarBench.
