A Study of Mobile Edge Computing in AR/VR Applications

Multi-access Edge Computing is another name for MEC. With the aim of spreading computation resources across networks instead of consolidating them in data centers, “the Edge computing” brings computational capabilities nearer to the consumer of the data. This results in more flexible efficiency, lessened network load, and faster data transfer. By moving those resources towards the user, MEC offers operators and companies additional 5G business opportunities. This decreases latency and eases traffic on host networks. MEC helps operators provide 5G services with great bandwidth and minimal latency. This article examines the challenge of MEC in AR/VR applications as well as its actual implementation.
