Mobile Sink Path Planning for Optimized Data Collection in WSN
Mayank Joshi, Namit Gupta · 2022
Various data collecting strategies based on mobile sinks and various forwarding have already been developed to extend the lifespan of wireless sensor networks. In this work, we offer an end-to-end data collecting technique inspired by optimizing ant colonies. Together, the strategy would choose collecting places and map up travel itineraries. Initially, the suggested approach builds a data-forwarding tree before moving on to heuristically choose collecting spots and tour routes. The results of the assessment process show that the final strategy has a better chance than other methods of increasing the lifespan of a wireless sensors network, especially in the case of an uneven distribution of sensors. As an added bonus, the end-to-end technique is flexible enough to be used in tandem with other methods.
