Burst-traffic based Dynamic Mobile Sink Path Planning in Wireless Sensor Networks
Humera Aqeel, Lokesh Lodha · 2022
Due to its minimal protocol overhead, priori-trail planing for the mobile nodes is a frequent approach to data gathering in portable wireless sensor networks. Unfortunately, the trail-based methods do not have an effective load balancing mechanism to deal with the influx of WSN traffic that must be delivered to the ground station in a timely manner. In order to evenly distribute the load and prevent traffic jams, this article suggests using dynamic route planning for mobile sinks. It includes a grid-based network split, a priori-trail construction, knowledge and assessment of traffic spikes, a collaborative technique for sharing resources, and a dynamic routing adjustment. The suggested method has been tested experimentally on the NS-3 platform, where it was shown to achieve a low-delay and low-loss rate while balancing both steady and sudden data flows.
