IoT Based Smart Home with Cutting-Edge Technology for IDS/IPS

The fact that IoT devices often record private information is evidence of their pervasiveness in our daily lives. The three main components of the system are as follows: This involves three steps: 1) determining and profiling the typical activity of each IoT device in the network; 2) spotting malicious packets delivered across the network during an attack; and 3) classifying the assault. We put it through its paces using a battery of eight standard-issue smart-home gadgets. The effectiveness of the proposed IDS architecture is evaluated using a battery of twelve attacks that collectively represent the four most common types of network-based attacks: denial of service, man-in-the-middle/spoofing, reconnaissance, and replay. Additionally, four distinct multi-stage attack scenarios with complex causal chains are used to evaluate the system's performance. The F-measure is based on how successfully the system carries out its three core activities, which are: 1) 96.2%; 2) 90%; and 3) 98.0%.
