As 5G technology rolls out, concerns about potential cyberattacks are mounting. The new technology is faster and more efficient than earlier generations, but it also opens up new avenues for hackers to exploit. It was demonstrated recently that experts could take control of a 5G network using nothing more than a laptop and an antenna. This attack could allow hackers to gain access to sensitive data or even completely take down the network. While there are ways to protect against such attacks, they are not foolproof. And as 5G networks become more widespread, the risk of cyberattacks will only increase.
